Meet our Specialists:

For Jerry David, the Northwestern Mutual is truly a family affair. His father, Jack, is a long-time Financial Representative with Cornerstone Financial Group. Jerry’s wife, Peggy, spent part of her career within the Network, and they now work as a team. Jerry began his career with Cornerstone Financial in 2000; a member of the Group’s Concierge Club, and the specialist for Life Insurance, Jerry continues to enjoy growth and success in his career. As a Wealth Management Advisor, he enjoys working with clients in a holistic, comprehensive financial security planning approach. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UW-Milwaukee and a MBA from Marquette University.
  
  

 
Mike Butz has been with Cornerstone Financial Group since 1977; his career as a Financial Representative started after serving in the US Navy and finishing college at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. His experience and expertise makes Mike a valuable resource for not his clients but for his peers as well. Mike’s career with Northwestern started a family legacy; his son, Michael S. Butz, is also a Financial Representative in the Chicago area.
 

 

 


Mike Slutzky began his career with Cornerstone Financial Group in 1981; he built his practice by working with physicians and resident physicians for the past 26 years. The relationship Mike establishes with his clients enables him to provide guidance to make the right choices. The experience Mike has with the disability income market and the relationships he’s built over the years makes him a valuable resource to both his clients and new Financial Representatives.
 
 
 
 
 

    
Pat Marget began his career with Cornerstone Financial Group in 2000; he left a successful practice as an attorney in a large Milwaukee law firm with a desire to build his own business, and the Financial Representative role offered him the opportunity to do so. Pat was attracted to the relationship nature of the business, the opportunity to have a favorable impact on people’s lives, and to be fully involved in building his own successful practice. Eileen Gillespie began her career with Cornerstone Financial Group in 1999. Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, she spent 28 years in the healthcare industry and gained a broad base of knowledge related to the healthcare industry. Eileen is passionate about her role as Long-Term Care Specialist: “My experience with multiple family members has allowed me to see the issue of long-term care from a personal viewpoint. Because of the long-term care needs of my mom, my dad, my mother-in-law, and my brother-in-law, I can talk about every aspect of long-term care services from a personal experience perspective.” Her personal and professional background gives Eileen the ability to focus on helping her clients and associates' clients design long-term care insurance plans to meet their personal and financial security goals.
 
 
  

 
John Barrett joined Cornerstone Financial Group in 2001 after spending six years as a Financial Advisor with Robert W. Baird. John’s knowledge and experience in the field of investment advising and trust management has made him a valuable member of the Group’s Specialist team. In addition to his own clientele, John serves as an investment resource for Financial Representatives with clients who have over one million dollars in investable assets.  He has also been on the “ground floor” consulting with the leaders of Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company during its creation.
  
 
 

   
Jerod began his career with Cornerstone Financial Group in 2003 after working in the banking industry facilitating the trading of equities and mutual funds for personal and business clients. Jerod was attracted to Cornerstone Financial’s spirit of nurturing individuals who wanted to pursue an entrepreneurial career and unlimited growth potential. The opportunity as Investment Specialist gives Jerod the ability to apply a holistic planning approach to his clients and to also share his expertise with other Financial Representatives. 
 
 
 

 
David joined Cornerstone Financial Group in 1993; he started a broad-based practice but wanted to develop a business focused on corporate markets. David combined the contacts he developed through his personal practice with the exposure he received from doing joint work with experienced financial representatives in the corporate marketplace. As a result, David Fritz has become a leader in the Network Office and has placed in the Company’s Top 20 in the last four years. He attributes his success to taking measured risks, developing his skills, and trusting the system.
  
 
 

Hans Myklebust, CLU, ChFC, Estate & Business Planning Specialist

Hans Myklebust has been with the Cornerstone Financial Group-Mequon since 2004; he has recently earned the title of Estate & Business Planning Specialist, and provides comprehensive investment and insurance planning for his business and personal clients.  He has been in the top 10 in the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum rankings in the Central Region. Hans was also named the #1 Financial Advisor in the Midwest for 2005.  In addition, Hans has attained the agency’s Big Ten status and Million Dollar Round Table 2005-2009.  Hans also achieved the prestigious Pacesetter 40 and Pacesetter 60 awards.  Myklebust has more than 21 years of experience in the financial service industry.

Hans Myklebust is a native of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.  He earned a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.  He has achieved his CLU, ChFC, Series 7, 63, and 66 designation. He resides in Menomonee Falls with his wife and two children.

 


Christy joined Cornerstone Financial Group in 1997; she has spent her entire career in the insurance industry. Christy holds a Bachelor of Science from UW-Oshkosh. Armed with passion and positive energy, Christy works with Cornerstone’s Financial Representatives to build lasting relationships with their business clients. As a trusted business advocate and expert, she delivers cost-conscious and innovative solutions for companies and their valued employees. Christy is known for her follow-through; going the extra mile comes naturally.
 
  
 

  
Mary Stark holds a Juris Doctor designation from the University of Illinois - College of Law, with an underlying Bachelor of Arts in Economics, minor in Russian Studies, from Grinnell College; she practiced law in Milwaukee 5 years as a civil litigation attorney. Mary’s background is augmented by an additional eleven years of experience in the voluntary supplemental employee benefit market.
 
Mary Stark’s goal for her clients is to smoothly integrate voluntary supplemental plan offerings with employer-funded coverage, in order to offer employees the most comprehensive and affordable benefit program possible. She structures supplemental options that can be made available to all employees of a company, as well as specialized strategies for key executive, carve-out Long Term Care alternatives.
 
Mary loves the unique challenges of her supplemental benefits position and views each client as a new puzzle that requires each piece to be perfectly fit in place in order for the complete picture to emerge successfully.  
 

Sherry is the Group Disability Income Specialist. She practiced law in the Milwaukee area for 25 years before joining the Cornerstone Financial Group. Her legal background lends itself to contract analysis which is an integral part of disability insurance.
 
Sherry works with Cornerstone’s Financial Representatives and their business clients to provide employees with group DI and life insurance while at the same time augmenting the business owner’s individual coverages. Sherry structures specialized plan designs to meet both the business and the business owner’s objectives.
