Patrick Marget, JD, CPA, CLU, CFP, Business & Estate Planning Specialist

Pat Marget began his career with Cornerstone Financial Group in 2000; he left a successful practice as an attorney in a large Milwaukee law firm with a desire to build his own business, and the Financial Representative role offered him the opportunity to do so. Pat was attracted to the relationship nature of the business, the opportunity to have a favorable impact on people’s lives, and to be fully involved in building his own successful practice. Pat’s niche has been primarily business owners and attorneys.
 

 


  
 
 
 
For Jerry David, the Northwestern Mutual is truly a family affair. His father, Jack, is a long-time Financial Representative with Cornerstone Financial Group. Jerry’s wife, Peggy, spent part of her career within the Network, and they now work as a team. Jerry left a successful engineering career and joined Cornerstone Financial in 2000; a member of the Group’s Concierge Club, and the specialist for Life Insurance, Jerry continues to enjoy growth and success in his career. As a Wealth Management Advisor, he enjoys working with clients in a holistic, comprehensive financial security planning approach. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UW-Milwaukee and a MBA from Marquette University.
 
 

 
Hans Myklebust has been located in Mequon WI as a Financial Representative with Cornerstone Financial Group since 2004; he left the role of business management executive to help individuals achieve greatness, rather than simply helping “big business” to achieve success. Hans is vigilant about applying all Northwestern Mutual product lines, from life insurance to disability to investments, to help ensure his clients reach their goals. 
 As Field Director, Hans shares his talent, knowledge, and insight with new Financial Representatives who want to learn more about the financial solution approaches for their clients.
 
 

 
 
Tom Buettner joined Cornerstone Financial Group in 2004 after leaving a successful career in media marketing. He was looking for an opportunity to interact with and help people, while continuing to learn and grow in his career.  Tom has found a niche working with first generation entrepreneurs and business executives.
 
 
 

Maria Nicholas-Groves, Financial Representative

Maria Nicholas-Groves has been with Cornerstone Financial Group since 2007; she transitioned from Director of Recruitment and Selection to the Financial Representative in January, 2009. Maria graduated from UW-Milwaukee with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Human Resource Management and Marketing in 2003, and has experience in professional recruiting and the financial services industries.
 
Maria explains what she enjoys most about the financial representative role: “The opportunities are limitless, which is what intrigued and attracted me most to the Financial Representative career. I know that if I do a good job and follow the system I could have this career produce what I want out of life. In addition, I love the opportunity I have to develop as a leader with great mentors and with an awesome culture.”

 

Christine Burke-Duecker, Financial Representative

Christine Burke-Duecker joined the Cornerstone Financial Group as a Financial Representative in 2008. Prior to joining the organization, Christine’s career as a professional Certified Fund Raising Executive in greater Milwaukee and northern Illinois gave her the opportunity to serve as an organizational director for financial development and advancement for organizations such as the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center, the School Sisters of St. Francis, the Children’s Health Education Center, and the Milwaukee Ballet. Following her client based career, Christine started her own consulting firm and consulted with nonprofits such as the Trinity Irish Dance Company, Lumen Christi Parish, and Milwaukee Indoor Soccer Center; she is currently an active volunteer in these organizations.
 
Christine decided to transition her focus from helping organizations with philanthropic endeavors to assisting individuals focus on financial freedom and security. Christine shares her feelings on the rewards of a Financial Representative career: “The greatest reward is helping people put in place the financial security that helps them go to sleep at night and start a strategy that gives them a tax efficient way of saving that will afford them the financial freedom and lifestyle that they want to have. I also appreciate the camaraderie I enjoy with colleagues at Cornerstone and also my clients. The relationships that develop both internally and externally have been the greatest reward that I enjoy on a daily basis.”
 

  

Maria Roloff has been a Financial Representative with Cornerstone Financial Group since 2008. Before joining the organization, she managed the human resources area of a high-end architectural woodwork manufacturer, and also worked part-time for three years selling graphic design and print services to the restaurant and hospitality markets. She enjoys the person-to-person interaction that is vital to the success as a Financial Representative, and also enjoys the satisfaction she gets from seeing the impact she makes with individuals who want to achieve financial security.
 
When asked about the aspects of the career she enjoys most, Maria notes: “The greatest reward has been helping clients. We can make a profound impact on people’s financial future with respect to security. I appreciate the opportunity to constantly meet new people on a daily basis, and build lifelong relationships with them. The more you put into this career, the better it will be, just remember to strike a balance between your work and home life.”
